Ecovadis: With a bronze rating in February 2025, we are among the top 35% of companies assessed in the area of sustainability.
EPD (Environmental Product Declaration): Independently tested in accordance with ISO 14025 and EN 15804, the EPD provides transparent environmental information about the entire life cycle of our products.

Life cycle of titanium zinc: raw material extraction to recycling

The life cycle of titanium zinc encompasses all essential phases – from raw material extraction to reuse. Attention is paid to durability and high material quality right from the manufacturing stage. After processing, titanium zinc is used in long-lasting applications, where its resistance is a key advantage.

At the end of its useful life, the material is returned to the cycle: recycling fully preserves the original quality, so that the recovered material can be used to create equivalent products again – without any loss of quality and without downcycling. This closes the material cycle and avoids waste, which also conserves resources and reduces the burden on the environment.

If components made of RHEINZINK architectural zinc are no longer needed, they can be reused with minimal effort to create similar or even identical products. For example, decades-old wall cladding can be transformed into new wall cladding – with the same high-quality properties as it had at the beginning. The material cycle continues, over and over again.

100% – more is not possible. Except for three times 100%.

RHEINZINK can be easily sorted by type during renovation work or after a building has reached the end of its useful life. It is then 100% recyclable without any additional intermediate steps. Even the trimmings produced during manufacture are 100% remelted and then live on in new products. And what happens to the quality and product properties during the recycling process? They are completely preserved throughout the life cycle. Naturally, 100%.
