Residential Building Meyster’s buiten

In clear weather, you can even see the skyline of Amsterdam from the rooms of a penthouse and its spacious roof terraces in Utrecht. “Meyster’s buiten”, a round residential tower, stands on the city’s west side in the “Oog in Al” district. The current residential complex was once an industrial site. Thanks to many restorations and modernisations, it was possible to create a liveable infrastructure. A 10-storey residential tower was built where large round silos for soy storage once stood.
The building facade is also distinctive. The slightly shiny material and its pronounced angled standing seams create an interesting interplay in various daylight conditions and evoke the industrial character reminiscent of its earlier times. RHEINZINK titanium zinc with the RHEINZINK-prePATINA blue grey quality was used for the facade with the angled standing seam system.
